Festival QueenFestival Queen If you were lucky enough to seal the deal on a pair of Coachella tickets this year then I envy you. But if you’re like me, you’ll be sitting back poolside or beach side and catching a couple of smaller local festivals. Still not a bad arrangement though. Either way, your glam game has to be stunning. You won’t need a suitcase full of makeup, just a duffle. All joking aside, I want to show you a few of my favorite things. Some of the best skincare that will protect you from the sun, heal any inflammation caused by the sun, and combat the damage that hyperpigmentation, lack of sleep, and alcohol will cause. You know it’s all going down so don’t deny it, get prepared. Set the beauty standard with these essentials.
Dr. Hauschka’s Rose Deodorant makes me feel like I am in the queen’s garden of roses. The fragrance is so light and gently wears throughout the day. It won’t prevent you from sweating but it will prevent that dreadful festival BO that is strong enough to stop the show! I found mine at Wholefoods and it was a match made in heaven. MAC’s Peachlite Strobe Cream Hydrant is the perfect glow accessory. It is subtle enough to use all over before foundation. Sometimes I skip the foundation and just use concealer wherever needed. You might want to think about doing that If you typically don’t wear foundation to begin with but want perfectly glowy skin. Le Mieux’s Bio Cell Rejuvenating cream is like wearing a wonderful blanket of velvet hydration. If you have dry skin this is a great daily moisturizer. If your skin is otherwise It is the perfect night cream. Staying out in the sun all day, partying and dry weather always leaves my skin a little rough. Imagine how this is going to feel when you turn in for the night or early morning. I promise your skin will be so soft and refreshed that cherubs won’t be able to hold a candle to you. Control Corrective makes an SPF that is hands down on my top 3 list of all times. If you have combo to oily skin you might want to use the aroma matte SPF 30. It leaves the skin fresh and protected. But if you are like me, you’ll want to use the botanical soothing cream SPF 30. It’s made specifically for sensitive skin and offers healing along with the protection you deserve. ISO Cell recovery solution by Le Mieux is the toner of the century for me! It is hydrating, soothing and healing. I would not head to a festival without it. Grab the travel size so that you can keep it in your fanny or tote. This toner repairs damaged cells, calms the skin and is extremely refreshing. If you are one to wake up free of under eye circles and distress, then you don’t exist in real life! But for the rest of us, there is Le Mieux’s velvety eye wrinkle corrector. It hydrates and comforts the eye area while reducing puffiness and brightening up those dark tunnels under the eye. Phyto nutrient cleansing gel is so refreshing, and feels like teeny tiny bubbles are lifting debris from the skin. You’ll need this if you’ll be wherever dirt and dust exists. I love a good sheet mask! Hopefully everyone will be wearing and reapplying enough SPF to keep sunburn at bay. Probably not though, having fun makes us all forget about the little things. I’m so glad that sheet masks are so travel friendly and easy to tuck away. You can wear them anywhere and there is no clean up! One of my favorites is by a brand called Secret Nature. They make several types of masks for each skin type and ailment. Do you have a custom blend foundation? I do, it was created and perfected at Mila Artistry in Pasadena I wanted a foundation with a texture and finish that I can control, something with skin healthy ingredients and obviously a perfect color. I will always stand by the notion that foundation is the last step to skincare during the day. Because it is. It offers another fine layer of protection and should illuminate your best features and give you the skin texture you’ll love. Powerful skincare should make your beauty routine effortless and transform your skin into a dream. Authored by Mila Grass
