Legally Blonde hit theaters around the perfect time for me. I was in high school, a law and government magnet program to be exact. I really loved that program, and at the same time I was really enjoying "being allowed" to play in makeup and have my own fashion identity. But lets be honest, there has always been a stigma that brains 📚 & beauty 💄 don't go Hand in 🤚. Yet time and time ⌚️ again, beauty and brains prove that they go together like PB&J 🥜 🍞 🍇.
Elle Woods wasn't just putting blondes on the map for having courage, dignity, integrity, smarts and beauty. She was putting all women on the map 🗺 . A few very great messages I picked up from this film were accountability and kindness go a long way. Also there is only one person who will fight for what you believe in, and that person is yourself.
Fighting for what you believe in, and standing up for your self should not mean that you have to present 🎁 yourself as something you aren't just to be heard 👂 . But unfortunately compromising happiness is something that is still being forced on individuals today (hence why I work for myself!). 😔 This is so sad and frustrating! And I am 💯% sure that we have all had to do this.
Sometimes I grow discouraged about things. Like missed goals, setbacks, and other unfortunate things in life 😔 And i'm not saying that this movie fixes everything but, It's a pretty damn good start! Legally blonde is probably one of the funniest films I've ever seen and it motivates me instantly . It also helps that 🐶 puppies, and 🍫 chocolates are featured. Along with A👠 beautiful 👗 wardrobe and stunning ideas for hair and makeup.
Below is a youtube clip from my favorite scene in the film BTW, yes I quote this line often. This is shared from Imim Fasom's channel (thanks for making this available!). I just wanted to put something up really fast!
What are some of your favorite scenes? Where were you in your life when this movie debuted and how has this movie influenced you if at all? I'd really love ❤️ to hear back!
Tonight I'm gonna 🎊 🎉 celebrate Legally Blonde by watching the first and second films in a row! Im also going to indulge myself in a homemade mani, pedi, and face mask.
at the mask I'm going to do tonight is one I created earlier this week. It is gentle and safe for all skin types to use. If you have oily skin you can prepare this mask as is and let it sit on your face for the whole duration of the film if you like.
If you have dry skin you can prepare this mask as instructed, and add coconut 🌴 oil, 🥑 avocado oil, olive oil, or any skin safe oil of your preference. Feel free to email me, or message me in this thread for more ideas to customize your mask.
